Multi-dimensional effects of a sustainability transition policy: Sectorial and territorial consequences of the wind energy policy in Portugal

How to measure the impacts of decarbonisation on the industrial sector in a specific territory? With this research question,
we grounded the research on two conceptual bases: sustainability transition studies and economic complexity. From the sustainability transitions, the work benefits from the idea that the development of a focal industrial sector is a complex process that is indeed a set of parallel transitions in multiple sectors and that these transitions affect and are affected by the existing context. From Economic Complexity this work brings the agnostic data-driven research, the principle of relatedness, and the idea that the capabilities embodied in a territory could improve its development opportunities.

Assessing the industrial effects of the deployment of renewable energy technologies: when product identity matters

The energy system has already undergone a profound transformation, driven by a first generation of clean, renewable energy technologies (Mitchell, 2016).
