The objective of the workshop was to debate whether the Portuguese industry was prepared to answer to the opportunities and challenges created by the acceleration of marine renewable energy technologies diffusion, as well as the main obstacles to be expected.
The workshop took the form of a focus group involving 12 participants, including technology promoters, product or service supplier companies, trade associations and policy makers. Each participant spoke briefly about the position of the respective organization or sector relatively to the theme proposed. A general debate followed.
