The first Portuguese degree in data science has started at ISCTE. The new course was launched in an open session in September 17, which was attended by the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Manuel Heitor and the Rector of ISCTE, Maria de Lurdes Rodrigues.
The Minister stressed the importance of this initiative for the enhancement of productive factors, as well as for the creation of new jobs (e.g. artificial intelligence, communication in science and information processing).
The OceanTrans project welcomes this initiative and looks forward to opportunities for future collaborations in advanced data analysis in the framework of its investigations on sustainable industrial transformation.
